This gives the patient the equivalent of a "VGB" without the band. The patient has some restriction but basically, full digestion. Sounds like you have a good reason to seek "takedown"... What you need to do, is call weight loss surgery surgeons and/or gastrointestinal surgeons, until you find one who will do the takedown you need. Insurance should pay since it sounds like you are malnourished. There is a group on Yahoo called OSSG-GONE-WRONG. It has many members who have had takedown surgery and they might be able to help you find a surgeon to help you. You should move on this because, sounds like you really need this procedure...Sue Joanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09733810024107526074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32482128.post-22317225227772755422016-05-12T01:30:44.693-07:002016-05-12T01:30:44.693-07:00Im looking for a way to get a complete reversal/ta...Im looking for a way to get a complete reversal/takedown. Not the sleeve. My team says oh you cant do that. Yet thats all I hear and see now are people having this done. My life has been destroyed from this. I feel like im eventually just going to drop dead. Ive barely been out of bed and I did this to be better and active for my baby. Im the total opposite and the only reason ive lost weight is because I cant even eat! If you have ...MrJeff0524, thanks for your comment! If you have any doubts, you should probably postpone the GB surgery, until you feel really sure and comfortable with it. Actually, most surgeons are preferring the gastric sleeve which is much less invasive than the gastric bypass (but of course, it's not reversible). Sleeve gives the same or better results than the bypass with far far less complications. Understand that even weight loss surgery surgeons admit that even with surgery, the patient does most of the work. Like Dr Terry Simpson, a weight loss surgery surgeon in AZ, says (and he was talking about the most powerful procedure, the Duodenal Switch)..."Success with weight loss surgery is 10% the surgery, 90% the patient!" So really consider foregoing the 10% of help you would get with the surgery, because if you can be successful with weight loss surgery, it's all your work which can be done without taking the risks and dealing with the complications especially with the more invasive surgeries like the gastric bypass. Feel welcome to write to me!
